Creating the prescription
Create the prescription as normal. Every step is the same as creating a standard prescription.
Controlled Substance Classification
If you select the medication using Medicine Search, this is applied automatically and shows as a badge (for example, CD 3) next to the medicine you've added. If you add the medication manually using Custom Entry, select the correct level yourself from the Controlled Substance Classification options: CD2, CD3, CD4, or CD5.
Upload FP10PCD Form. This appears further down the screen once the item is classified as CD2 or CD3. Uploading a scan here is optional and doesn't replace the need to post the physical FP10.
What happens next
Once the pharmacy accepts the order, you're sent an email reminder to post the physical FP10 to the nominated pharmacy.
đď¸ Note: This reminder isn't sent as soon as you create the prescription. It's sent after the pharmacy's clinical review, once the order is accepted. Any requested changes are resolved first, so you're only asked to post the FP10 once everything else is finalised.
đď¸ Note: If the physical FP10 hasn't been posted within 10 days, you receive a follow-up reminder.
