Start a new prescription
Select Prescriptions in the left-hand menu.
Select Create Prescription in the top right.
This opens the prescription form, starting on the Patient Information section.
Enter the patient's details
The Patient Information section opens with a Patient Search field at the top. This is only for finding a patient you've prescribed for before, so for a new patient, leave it blank and enter their details directly in the fields below.
Enter the First name and Last name.
Both are required.
Enter the Date of birth and Gender.
Use the DD MM YYYY boxes for the date of birth, and select Male, Female, or Other. The date of birth is required for prescription portal access.
Enter the Email address and Phone number.
Both are required. Use international format for non-UK numbers, for example +49 211 59700.
Enter the Street address.
Start typing to search for the address - selecting it auto-fills the Postal code, City, and Country. You can still edit any of these fields afterwards if needed. Country defaults to United Kingdom.
🗒️ Note: The delivery address is where the medication is sent, so check it matches where the patient wants to receive their order.
What happens when you sign and issue
Patient Information is 1 of the 4 sections in the prescription form, alongside Clinical Information, Prescription Items, and Delivery & Consent. Once you complete all four sections and select Sign & Issue, the patient's details are saved to Healistic.
💡 Tip: Once a patient's record is saved, you can find them next time using Patient Search instead of entering their details again.
