How to Check the Status of a Patient's Order

Understand where an order stands, what each status tag means, and how to reinstate an invalidated order.

Viewing an order's status

  1. Open the "Prescriptions" tab in your prescriber webapp. Every order carries a tag showing its current status.

What each status tag means

  • Drafts: The order sits here until it's been signed and issued by you.

  • Issued: The order gets this status as soon as you create the prescription.

  • Dispensed: The order gets this status once the patient has paid and the pharmacy has dispatched the item.

  • Invalidated: The order has been cancelled. This can happen at the clinic's request, the patient's request, or because the pharmacy is unable to fulfil the script. The patient is notified and refunded within 3 to 5 working days.

🗒️ Note: If a pharmacy rejects a script, it stays tagged "Issued" while it sits in an internal "order placed" status until the issue is resolved.

Reinstating an invalidated order

  1. Open the "Invalidated" tab in your prescriber webapp.

  2. Click Details on the order you want to reinstate to open its order details page.

  3. Select Reissue Prescription at the top of the order details page.

🗒️ Note: Selecting Reissue Prescription takes you back to the prescription creation screen. All the original details are pre-filled, so you just need to review them before issuing again.
