How Patient Order Delivery Works

A guide to delivery timeframes, scheduling windows and courier choices across every region Healistic delivers to.

🗒️ Note: Delivery region and timeframe are assigned automatically based on the delivery address on the prescription. There's no separate step for you to select a delivery type when issuing.

Delivery within London and Greater London

Patients in London and Greater London can book a delivery slot from as little as 1 hour after they complete payment. Each slot is a 2-hour window.

🗒️ Note: This isn't a guarantee that the order arrives within 2 hours of the prescription being issued. The patient still needs to open their link, complete payment and choose an available slot before a delivery window is confirmed.

Delivery slots for this service run:

  • Monday to Friday: 9am to 9pm

  • Saturday: 9am to 5pm

There's no Sunday delivery for this service.

💡 Tip: Patients can add delivery notes when booking a London slot, for example building access details or a preferred drop-off point.

Delivery across the rest of the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands

Outside London and Greater London, delivery times are:

  • UK, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man: within 24 hours, 7 days a week

  • Channel Islands: within 72 hours, Monday to Friday only

🗒️ Note: There's no weekend delivery to the Channel Islands.

How patients schedule their delivery

Once you issue a prescription, the patient receives a link to arrange their delivery.

  1. The patient opens the link and completes payment for the order.

  2. The patient selects an available delivery slot within the delivery windows listed above.

  3. The order is dispatched in line with the slot they've chosen.

🗒️ Note: If a prescription is issued outside the bookable slot hours, the patient is automatically offered the next available slot. No action is needed from you or the patient to trigger this.

Courier options outside London and Greater London

For deliveries outside London and Greater London, patients can choose from multiple options based on their delivery preferences. Options include:

  • Requiring a pin code on delivery

  • Posting the order through a letterbox

  • Leaving the order in a safe place, for example with a building concierge

💡 Tip: Encourage patients to add delivery notes describing exactly where a safe place delivery should go, for example "leave with the building concierge," so the courier can follow it precisely.

🗒️ Note: Safe place and letterbox options are not available for prescriptions containing Schedule 2, 3, 4, or 5 controlled medications. These require PIN code delivery only, via DPD.
