Why identity verification is required
Healistic requires every prescriber to verify their identity before they can issue prescriptions. This is a legal requirement. UK law requires every e-prescription to carry an advanced electronic signature uniquely linked to you as the prescriber. Identity verification is what creates that legal link. Without it, prescriptions have no legal standing.
Verification is handled securely through Yoti, a third-party identity verification service embedded in the platform. It is completed once before you can access any prescribing features. Yoti collects your data solely to confirm your identity and deletes it within 28 days of submission.
What you need before you start
A government-issued photo ID
Passport or UK driving licence (recommended)
CitizenCard
Post Office PASS card
Biometric residence permit
Young Scot Card
A device with a working camera. A smartphone is recommended as it is often faster than a desktop browser.
How to complete verification

Check your inbox for an email with the subject "Action Required: Complete your ID verification".
Check your junk or spam folder if you do not see it in your main inbox.Click "Sign In To Healistic" in the email.
This opens the Healistic platform in a new browser tab.Log in to your Healistic account.
A verification pop-up appears automatically once you are logged in.Click "Get Started"
The screen confirms two things are needed: a photo of your ID document and a quick scan of your face.Select your ID document type from the dropdown and click "Continue".
A passport or UK driving licence gives the smoothest experience.Click "Allow" when your browser asks for camera access.
Camera access is needed to photograph your ID and take a selfie. This prompt only appears on desktop browsers.Position your ID document within the on-screen frame and click "Take photo".
Make sure all four corners are visible, the text is clear, and there is no glare. The system detects and uploads the document automatically.Tick both consent boxes on the Yoti consent screen and click "Continue".
Yoti needs an image of your face to match you to your ID photo. This may be classed as biometric data. Yoti deletes it within 28 days.Follow the on-screen prompts to take a live selfie and click "Continue".
Find a well-lit area, keep your upper body and background visible, and position your camera at eye level.Wait for the "Identity Verification Completed" confirmation screen.
Your submission is now with the Healistic team for review.
🗒️ Note: Verification is not activated instantly. A member of the Healistic team reviews and approves your submission. You will receive an activation email once your account is fully verified and ready to prescribe.
What happens after you submit
Once the Healistic team approves your verification, your prescriber account is fully activated. You will receive a confirmation email and can then log in and begin issuing private prescriptions for your patients.
You will not need to repeat this process unless your account requires re-verification.
